Gov Cua: “Lasting peace and stability is what we need and in order to achieve it, we must be able to work together as one community and family”

   CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- Police Regional Office 2 celebrated the 23rd Police Community Relations Month with the theme: "Tapat na Serbisyo at Paglilingkod ng Kapulisan, Kaagapay ang Mamamayan, Hatid ay Kaunlaran on July 2, 2018 held at the PRO2 Grandstand, Tuguegarao City.

   Quirino Governor Hon. Junie E. Cua who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the kick-off ceremony, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the services and sacrifices of the police in the maintenance of peace and order in the community. “The role of PNP cannot be quantified, your services and sacrifices are sometimes beyond the call of duty,” he added.

   Governor Cua assisted by PRO2 Regional Director PCSUPT JOSE MARIO M ESPINO led the awarding of the plaque of recognition to the Top Performing Units of PRO2 in the campaign against illegal drugs in the region. In Cagayan province, Tuguegarao City Police Station garnered the highest performance rating of 67.50% followed by Sta Ana Police Station with 55.13% and Aparri with 44.59%. In Isabela province, Echague Police Station garnered the highest performance rating of 69.67%, followed by Jones Police Station with 65.50% and Mallig Police Station with 63.94%. In Nueva Vizcaya, Solano Police Station garnered 64.74% while Bagabag Police Station has 52.21%. In Santiago City, Police Station 2 garnered 66.47% while Police Station 1 has 54.56% performance rating.

   Meanwhile, PNP personnel who have demonstrated efficiency and devotion to duty were also given due recognition. Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to PSUPT CHEVALIER R IRINGAN, PCINSP RODEL R TABULOG, PSINSP MAURICIO S GALIZA JR, PO3 Giovanni G Pacis and PO2 Philip Q Salvador. While Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to PCINSP RUBEN M MARTINEZ and PCINSP ROVELITA R AGLIPAY for the successful arrest of Number 1 Top Most Wanted Person in  Echague, Isabela and Dupax del Sur,  Nueva Vizcaya, respectively.
