2 drug personalities caught in buy-bust in Isabela province

     CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- Two drug pushers were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Isabela.

     Arrested were Christian Mark Barnal aka “NOGNOG”, 23 years old, single, unemployed and a resident of Brgy. Minante 1, Cauayan City, Isabela Marvin Antonio, 32 years old, jobless and resident of Brgy. Piot Carangglan Nueva Ecija.

     Isabela PNP Provincial Director PSSUPT MARIANO A RODRIGUEZ in his report to PRO2 Regional Director PCSUPT JOSE MARIO M ESPINO stated that at about 9:30 in the evening of June 5, 2018 in Brgy. Antonino, Alicia, Isabela, joint personnel of Alicia Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Branch, Isabela PPO PIB, conducted buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Barnal. Confiscated from the suspect were one (1) transparent plastic sachet, one thousand pesos (Php. 1,000.00) and one (1) caliber .38 revolver loaded with five (5) live ammunitions.

    Meanwhile, on same date at around 10:45 PM, a drug buy-bust operation was conducted in Brgy. San Jose, Aurora, Isabela by the joint elements of the PDEA, RO2, IPPO Drug Enforcement Unit, and Aurora PS which resulted in the arrest of Antonio. Confiscated from Antonio were three (3) pcs small heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”, one (1) five hundred pesos bill with serial number AZ651476.

     A case for violation of RA 9165 was  filed against the two suspects while a separate case for violation of RA 10591 was filed against Barnal.

    RD ESPINO urges the people at the grass roots level to help the police in the fight against illegal drugs.” It is imperative that every barangay, as the first line of defense, must be self-policing and self-reliant against dangerous drugs, he added.
